Description of the Collection

Collection consists of a memo and attachment from Illinois Institute of Technology professor Peter Lykos to IIT Pres. John Anderson concerning certificates given "to each of the 15,000 high school students and 1,200 high school teachers who completed computer programming class using IITRAN." A copy of the certificate, which was a computer punch card is included as the attachment. The card reads: "Illinois Institute of Technology Computation Center" and "This is to certify that __________ has attended a lecture and laboratory workshop for _________ and has satisfactorily completed the course."
