Duke Ellington film, 1962

Three-minute silent film in color of Duke Ellington's 1962 appearance in the Hermann Union Building (Hermann Hall) at Illinois Institute of Technology. The band is shown on stage and Ellington sits at the piano. The film is taken from a distance and the video quality is poor. Film opens with a shot of the calligraphy scroll with history of The BOG on it and then people filing into the auditorium in the HUB for the Ellington concert. Original format is 16 mm film; surrogates available in BetaCamSP and VHS cassettes.
