Biographical / Historical

Philip D Armour (1832- 1901) was an american industrialist best known for founding Armour &amp Company, a meatpacking company based in Chicago. He funded the Armour Mission and later the Armour Institute of Technology, and the Armour family remained involved in the school for many years. He married Malvina Belle Ogden in 1962, and the couple had two sons. Phillip D Armour Jr. died in 1900.
