For the most part, these materials represent articles about IIT in the broadest sense. Articles about specific individuals or activities, to the extent that they were collected and sent to the Archives, may be found in biographical files or topical drop files.



This includes the complete 20-page "Engineering Section" of the Chicago Daily Tribune, published August 22, 1952 in connection with the "Convocation of Engineers," held in Chicago Sept. 3 - 13, 1952. There may be no direct IIT connection with in this item. The collection includes the original of a full page ad which appeared in the Chicago Tribune, on Sunday May 14, 1967. The ad, placed by IIT under the title "Report to the Community" served as public thank you to contributors to the $25,000,000 3-year fund-raising campaign which the university had completed ahead of schedule.
