Biographical Note
Military training at Illinois Institute of Technology began during World War II, with Navy V-12 unit as one of the earliest programs. ROTC units were begun after the war ended. As of 2003, the ROTC programs at Illinois Institute of Technology and at University of Illinois at Chicago operate jointly.
