Description of the Collection

This collection includes a typed transcript of a September, 2004 interview with George Edson Danforth by three members of the Illinois Institute of Technology staff, Matt Cook, Director of Graham Resource Center, Lorna Shawver and Beth Wittbrodt, from the Illinois Institute of Technology Office of Institutional Advancement. In the interview, Danforth recalls his time as a student under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and reflects on his career.

Description of the Collection Papers of Louis John Johnson, Assistant Professor of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology from 1962-circa 1990. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1969. Johnson was also partner with another IIT Assistant/Associate Architecture Professor, Arthur S. Takeuchi, in the firm of Takeuchi and Johnson, Architects, of 37 S. Wabash in the 1960s and 1970s.
