Biographical / Historical

Like undergraduates, ID graduate students completed a thesis project in their program before earning their degree. These theses could consist of a paper, a printed book, slides, lithographs or other prints, videos, films, audio tapes, photographs and drawings. All ID students who entered the school after the entire program was retooled in the 1990s received Masters of Design degrees without specifying an area of concentration. The materials in this subseries have been arranged by the original areas of concentration.

Arrangement

This series is arranged according to graduate program - photography, art education, visual design (including printmaking), product design, research and demo.

Related Materials

A bound volume copy of a thesis paper which accompanied thesis projects executed as slides, prints, A-V, etc. may be catalogued in the IIT Archives' thesis collection in Galvin Library. Sometimes an unbound copy of the text is also found in the archival collection described here, in which case it is stored with the theses' physical materials. C. Bruck, 6/15/09
